I did it! Yeah, yeah… it’s been two week, but cut me some slack. I was in California for 5 days & jetlag is a B.

I worked on the gloves quite a bit to and in California. Knitting on a plane? Not so good for me. I kept dropping my needles and thinking that they were lost forever. I found the needles during stops, but after a while I figured it was just time to put it all away.¬†I also worked on the gloves the day before and the day of my sister’s wedding.

To be honest, I’m not completely satisfied with them. Perhaps it’s because I haven’t blocked them. I really should block them. Fine. You’ve guilted me into it. I’ll start blocking them tonight.

I noticed something odd…

Take a look at this:

Can you see what’s wrong? Color choice, maybe, but that’s not what’s REALLY wrong. The problem is that none of these items have a matching pair.

This is why we can’t have nice things that come in twos.

I’m working on a pair of gloves (ALL TWO!) right now. I have no excuse for not finishing these gloves; I’m already mostly packed for my sister’s wedding and the apartment is clean. So! Check back in a couple days. Unless I get completely distracted by a Doctor Who novel or Guild Wars: Factions & Eye of the North expansion (thank you, in-laws!) I will finally prove that I’m not that lazy.

Since I made a new hat for nephew, I didn’t know what to do with the old one… other than put it on my own head.

Tah-dah! One baby’s waaayyyy-too-big hat is a Michelle’s awesome slouch hat.

Holy multitasking, Batman!

Many many things are going on right now. I’m filling some dream catcher jars for a friend; making my entry for threadknits; thinking really hard about the Miss Priss Diaper pants; staring at my half finished throw; wondering if my gloves will turn out right this time; thinking about making IPA index cards for school; thinking about cleaning; and trying to convince myself that it shouldn’t be difficult for me to leave my apartment to go to Michaels (with a 40% off coupon).

Whew! Run-on sentence? It was worth it; I like semi-colons.

The moral of the story is that I have a lot of my metaphorical plate. Of course the question is “why are you blogging about it rather than doing it?” Because I’m literally watching paint dry… and drinking¬†drank my second gas-uccino of the day.

*sigh* Thanks for the guilt trip, jerks.
