The best side effects of knitting nearly every day for three weeks are 1) a neat-o callus from where my needles rub against my palms and 2) carpal tunnel syndrome/repetitive motion injuries.

I woke up this morning and my hands were (and are) achy. So, I popped some ibuprofen and strapped on a wrist splint. On my way home from class, I stopped by Mal-Wart and bought the best pain reliever ever:


My sister used Salonpas in high school because she’s athletic and was thus prone to athletic injuries. I, however, am using it for a hobby-related injury. It feels soooo good. :]

Just a couple more hours until the inflammation goes down and I can pick up the sticks again.

    Hi Michelle,

    Be careful to rest completely before knitting again, or you will aggravate the pain even more.
