What a mess!

20 Sep

Since Tuesday marks the beginning of fall, I’ve decided that it’s time to start knitting warm gifts for my friends and family. Luckily, I have a whole bunch of yarn from the five times frogged sweater. Oh, and when I say bunch, I literally mean a bunch.

What am I supposed to do with this? It’s times like these that a yarn winder would be SUPER handy. *coughChristinacough* Alas, I’m not about to drop $30 on something I can do –painstakingly — on my own. Just for fun, I’m going to keep track of the time it take me to untangle and ball this yarn. Wish me luck!

check out the knitpicks yarn winder, it’s a little less expensive, $19.99. i resisted buying a winder for years, finally broke down and got one–and it is worth every penny in time saved. imagine winding 1,000 yards of lace weight yarn by hand . . .

I thought that was a blob of spaghetti noodles at first. Stand back a bit and take a look at it—it really looks like noodles. Good luck with all that.
